Ana Paula Pereira started a career at Digital Equipment Corporation as a software specialist from 1989 to 1992 and worked at CERN as a software engineer from 1988 to 1989. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University (1992-1994), an MSc in Engenharia Electrotécnica e de Computadores from Instituto Superior Técnico (1985-1987), and an Engineering degree from Instituto Superior Técnico (1980-1985).
