John H. Phelan Jr.

John Phelan was with the Capital Group Companies, Inc. from 1992-2016, during which time he held several key positions, including Executive Vice President of Capital Research and Management. Previously, he was an associate partner with Andersen Consulting, where he specialized in investment management and banking. Phelan holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Management from Northwestern University. He has served on the board of directors since 2008.
