Mattia Marconcini

Mattia Marconcini is a Research Data Scientist and Development Project Manager at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) since March 2012, where responsibilities include scientific and technical coordination of projects and the development of urban applications and land management products, notably the World Settlement Footprint suite. Additionally, Mattia has served as a Partner and Scientific Consultant at MindEarth since October 2020, having previously held a scientific consultant role there from August 2018 to December 2019. Prior experience includes working as a Research Fellow and Technical Officer at the European Space Agency (ESA), focusing on Earth Observation Science and applications, and serving as a Research Scientist in Remote Sensing & Earth Observation at the Università di Trento. Mattia holds a PhD in Information and Communication Technologies from Università di Trento, alongside a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering.
