Sam Calabrese

Sam Calabrese currently serves as the Director of Communications and Campaigns at Minderoo Foundation, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this, Sam worked at South32 from May 2021 to October 2023 as Manager Government, leading strategic engagement with various governments and advising on political and policy matters in the resources and energy sector. Before South32, Sam was the Director at the Liberal Party of Australia (WA Division) from November 2015 to May 2021, overseeing operations, financial administration, and compliance. Earlier experience includes serving as a Policy Adviser at the Department of the Premier and Cabinet of WA from February 2011 to October 2015, working across multiple government offices. Sam holds a Graduate Certificate in Business from Curtin University and a Graduate qualification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
