Jorge Tavares

Jorge Tavares is currently a Data Product Analyst at Mindfuel. Prior to this, they were a Researcher at INESC Technology and Science - Associate Laboratory, where they completed a Master Thesis about analysis of geolocation data of vehicles (public transportation buses and logistics trucks) using Python and Data Science tools (Pandas, Numpy, Clustering), in order to extract relevant business-related information, and respective observation using Data Visualization tools (Matplotlib). Jorge also applied Process Mining techniques to detect bottlenecks and map the existing processes.

From 2017 to 2020, Tavares was a part of the Local Board of BEST Porto, where they held the role of Vice President for External Services. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating the external events of the association along with each event's responsible. Jorge was also part of the Corporate Relations Team, and was the EBEC Porto'19 Corporate Relations Responsible, in which they coordinated a team of several people that was responsible to establish contact with companies and gather them to be present in the event.

Jorge Tavares completed their Engineering Master in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto in 2021. Jorge also participated in the Erasmus Programme at Politecnico di Torino in 2019-2020, studying Computer and Industrial Engineering. In addition, they have obtained four certifications: Clustering Geolocation Data Intelligently in Python from Coursera in May 2021, Public Speaking from Speak and Lead in April 2021, Process Mining: Data Science in Action from Coursera in March 2021, and Process Mining Expert from Celonis in October 2020.
