Joel Ortiz

Joel Ortiz has extensive experience in clinical informatics, with a focus on healthcare systems and operations. Joel started their career in 2008 at OpusCare, where they held multiple roles, including Clinical Informatics Educator and Director of Clinical Informatics. At OpusCare, they were responsible for managing clinical applications and overseeing the implementation of informatics systems. In 2019, Joel joined HCA Healthcare Physician Services Group as the Director of Ambulatory Clinical Informatics, where they led the informatics team in optimizing ambulatory care processes. Joel recently transitioned to Mindpath Health as the Sr. Director of Clinical Informatics and is currently serving as the VP of Clinical Information Systems. Throughout their career, Joel has demonstrated expertise in leveraging technology to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. In addition to their informatics roles, Joel has also worked as a Surgical Nurse at SANTA LUCIA SURGICAL CENTER LLC from 2014 to 2017.

Joel Ortiz holds a Master's degree in Nursing Informatics from West Coast University, which they obtained from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Science degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Florida National University, completing it from 2011 to 2013.
