Erik Bovee has over 10 years of experience in business development and venture capital. Erik began their career in 2010 as the Vice President of Business Development at Wikitude GmbH. In 2011, they joined Speedinvest as a Venture Partner and Founder/General Partner. In 2013, they became the Vice President of Business Development at both hitbox Entertainment GmbH and Wikidocs. In 2014, Wikidocs was acquired by Atlassian. In 2016, hitbox was acquired by Azubu. In 2018, Erik was the Vice President and Advisory Board Member at Stateless, Advisory Board Member at Avatao, and Vice President of Business Development and Investor at MindsDB. In 2017, they became an Advisory Board Member at Inkitt and in 2018, an Advisory Board Member at Metis Labs. In 2020, they became an Advisor at Gaimz.
Erik Bovee has a varied educational background, beginning with their enrollment at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 1985. Erik then transferred to the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in European Theirtory (Mathematics, Physics) in 1989. Erik then went on to earn a Magistere from Université Paris-Sorbonne in 1993 and a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford in 1998, both in Modern Languages/Philosophy.
