Kurt Briesemeister has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. In 1995, they started as an Assistant Store Manager at Barnes & Noble, where they managed the day-to-day operations of a $5M retail location and oversaw the hiring, training, and coaching of sales staff. From 2003 to 2004, Kurt worked as a Bookkeeper at Rels, where they expedited mortgage funding disbursement and prepared necessary documentation for disbursement of mortgage funds. In 2004, they joined Thomson Reuters as a Senior Software Engineer, performing custom ABAP development in a highly customized SAP ECC 6.0 environment. Kurt later transitioned to the role of Software Engineer - SAP FICO Functional, where they performed functional and analytical work in the SAP FI/CO space. After leaving Thomson Reuters in 2014, Kurt joined Canadian Pacific Railway as an SAP Specialist Application Developer. In this role, they performed custom development across multiple SAP modules and technologies, including ABAP, SAPUI5, Workflow, and HANA modeling. Kurt was involved in the consolidation and replacement of CP's travel and expense functionality with a heavily enhanced version of the Fiori My Travel & Expenses app. In 2018, Kurt founded their own consulting company, K. Briesemeister Consulting, LLC, and joined Mindset Consulting, LLC as a Senior Software Developer.

Kurt Briesemeister holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Art/Philosophy from the University of Minnesota. Kurt also obtained a Diploma in VB6 Application Programming from KRS Computer & Business School. In addition to their formal education, Kurt has received certifications including the SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP Fiori Application Developer from SAP in March 2022, and the Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer from Microsoft in March 2004.
