Chilala Billy Hantumba

Chilala Billy Hantumba has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. They started their career at Konkola Copper Mines plc in 2007, where they worked as a Commercial Officer and later as a Senior Assistant Mining Engineer until 2011. In their role as a Commercial Officer, they were responsible for tender document preparation, purchasing materials and services, managing stock levels, expediting, and executing buying plans. They also ensured timely updates and resolution of contract and supplier payment issues.

In 2011, Chilala joined Atlas Copco Zambia Ltd as a Product Specialist in Underground Rock Excavation. They marketed and sold underground mining equipment, entered new markets, developed marketing and sales strategies, and handled major business deals. They also played a role in after-market development and logistics. Chilala worked at Atlas Copco Zambia Ltd until 2017.

Chilala then joined Epiroc Zambia in 2017 as a Product Manager, marketing and selling underground mining and auxiliary equipment manufactured by Atlas Copco. They undertook proposals, supported sales through demonstrations and negotiations, provided technical advice to customers, ensured excellent after-sales service, and analyzed sales performance. They also promoted the business nationally and supported the Business Line Manager and the team. Chilala worked at Epiroc Zambia until 2022.

In 2022, Chilala joined Epiroc as a Product and Sales Support Lead for East and Central Africa. In this role, they developed or adapted regional sales and marketing tools, materials, and required trainings for the sales process. They also worked on technical documentation and product specifications. Additionally, Chilala recently started working as an Account Manager at MineSense Technologies Ltd.
