David Shen

David Shen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. David currently works as an Oracle Database Developer at MineSense Technologies Ltd. since December 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Provincial Health Services Authority as a Business Intelligence Analyst from November 2017 to November 2019. In this role, they collaborated with clients to gather requirements, developed data models and ETL packages, and maintained reports.

Before that, David worked at SITA as a Lead Software Developer (PL/SQL) from April 2008 to July 2017. David was involved in the development of Airfare Insight, an application system for airline companies. David also designed and developed the AMAR report engine for fare data analysis.

From November 2006 to April 2008, David worked at TELUS Communications as a Test Data Analyst. David collected and analyzed test data requirements and created numerous SQL and PL/SQL queries to extract and analyze data across various data marts.

Prior to TELUS, David worked at UTStarcom Telecom Co., Ltd as a Senior Oracle Developer/Technical Support from May 2003 to May 2005. Their responsibilities included writing queries and packages, analyzing transactional/aggregated data, and monitoring network packets.

David's work experience dates back to their time at Banner Software Inc., where they worked as a System Analyst/Oracle Developer from June 1998 to May 2003. Their role involved supervising a team working on the Local Billing and Customer Care System project. David gathered business requirements and translated them into technical design and specifications.

Overall, David has a strong background in Oracle development, PL/SQL, data analysis, and business intelligence.

David Shen attended Beijing Information Science & Technology University from 1992 to 1996. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering.
