Leonardo Villagrán has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Leonardo currently works at MineSense Technologies Ltd. as a QA Engineer, where they are responsible for product approval and release, contributing to product design and manufacturing improvements, and resolving technical issues using root-cause analysis. Previously, they were a Product Manager at Mosaico S.A., overseeing product development and project management. Leonardo also served as Head of R&D and Development R&D Engineer at Power Train Technologies Chile S.A., where they conducted mechanical design, simulations, failure analysis, measurements, and prototype development. Leonardo also worked as a Project Researcher at CSIRO Chile and a Project Engineer at JCLeiva Engineering and Innovations, specializing in mechanical design, CAD, simulations, and programming. Additionally, they worked as a Math & Physics Tutor at Sácate un 7 and held engineering internships at Far East Organization, European Southern Observatory, and Tur Bus, gaining experience in various engineering tasks. Leonardo has also been involved in teaching and assisting in mathematics, physics, and mechanical projects at Universidad de Chile.
Leonardo Villagrán obtained an Engineer's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad de Chile, where they studied from 2007 to 2014. Leonardo further pursued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2012 to 2015. In December 2014, Leonardo also acquired the TOEIC® certification with a total score of 985, conducted by ETS (Educational Testing Services).
