As a 4th generation member of the Miniat family, Dave has a lifetime of experience with the organization. More than 30 years ago, he and his brother, Mike, pioneered Miniat’s current sous-vide cooking operation, creating a new channel of business that has served as the core capability of the cooked meat division, for decades. In 1996, he assumed the role of President of the company and has led Miniat through the construction of the South Holland plant, three major expansions, and a plant acquisition.
Under Dave’s leadership, Miniat has expanded its capabilities and footprint or order to support our customer’s own expansion into new product offerings and locations.
Dave holds a BS in Meat Science from Colorado State University. He serves on multiple boards and speaks regularly on both the meat industry as well as the family business model. He also served as Chairman of the North American Meat Institute.
