Mining and Automotive Skills Alliance
Gavin Lind serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Mining and Automotive Skills Alliance since October 2021, bringing extensive experience from previous roles at the Minerals Council of Australia, including Interim CEO of the Mining Skills Organisation Pilot and General Manager of Workforce and Innovation. With a solid foundation in academia, Gavin held positions as a Sessional Academic at the University of Melbourne and Senior Lecturer in Mining Engineering at both Curtin University of Technology and the University of the Witwatersrand. Professional experience also includes roles as Senior Mining Engineer at WorkSafe Victoria and Commodity Strategist at Anglo Platinum. Educational qualifications comprise a Doctor of Philosophy in Mining Engineering, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering, all obtained from the University of the Witwatersrand. Additionally, Gavin has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors program.
