In their role as an angel investor, Garima has invested in a number of companies including Procurify, H2O.ai, Treasure Data, Inc., and Push Computing Inc.

Garima Kapoor holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting and Finance from Nirma University in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Her dissertation, titled "Value Relevance of Financial and Non-Financial Information: A Case of Indian Pharmaceutical Industry," examines the value relevance of accounting numbers in the Indian pharmaceutical industry. The study uses valuation model by Ohlson (1995) to test the value relevance of accounting numbers.The result of the study indicated that the information asymmetry would be reduced if the R&D disclosure includes the details of R&D in terms of number of molecules and their respective stages (e.g. Phase 3 molecule will be more valuable than the pre clinical) . Further disclosing whether the molecule falls in the therapeutic area or life style category would help in accessing the growth of the firm largely.
