Oumar Niang

Oumar Niang is currently the Director of the Laboratoire de Traitement de l'Information et Systèmes Intelligents (LTISI) de l'EPT and has been serving in this role since March 2013. Additionally, Oumar Niang coordinates the Campus Franco-Sénégalais project at the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur, de la Recherche et de l'Innovation since November 2016 and holds the position of Director of the ISEP de Diamniadio, which commenced operations in 2020. With a vast academic background as an Enseignant-Chercheur in applied mathematics and computer science at École Polytechnique de Thiès, Oumar Niang has also led various initiatives, including the establishment of the FABLAB at EPT and the development of the Institut Supérieur d'Enseignement Professionnel in Dakar. Oumar Niang earned a PhD in Computer Science from Université de Paris Est Créteil Val de Marne and a DEA in Numerical Analysis from Université Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis, Senegal.
