Xavier Lefort

Xavier Lefort currently serves as Préfet de la Guadeloupe and the representative of the State in Saint-Barthélémy and Saint-Martin since March 2021. Previously, Xavier held the position of Préfet de la Mayenne. With extensive experience at the Cour des comptes since January 2013, Xavier has occupied various roles including Conseiller maître, Secrétaire général, Secrétaire général adjoint, and Avocat général. From August 2004 to January 2013, Xavier worked at ADEME as Directeur général délégué and Secrétaire général. Earlier in the career, Xavier served in the Marine Nationale from September 1989 to May 1999, ascending to roles such as Commissaire de la Marine and holding leadership positions. Educational credentials include an engineering degree from CentraleSupélec and specialized training from the Marine Nationale and the Ecole du commissariat de la marine.
