Aida Joaquin Acosta is an experienced professional currently serving as the Chief of Cabinet of the Viceminister at the Ministerio de Transportes y Movilidad Sostenible since May 2011, where previous roles included Head Of Unit and Deputy Head of Unit. Between June 2017 and September 2021, Aida was an Affiliate and Fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard Law School, contributing to the Ethics and Governance of AI Initiative focused on improving regulations for AI and autonomous technologies. Aida also has experience as a Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Presidency, advising on Better Regulation Policy and leading delegations at the OECD Regulatory Policy Committee. Additional roles include National Expert in Professional Training for the European Commission and Technical Advisor at the Ministry of Public Administration. Aida holds a Master’s Degree (LL.M.) in Robotics Law from the University of Washington School of Law, a Master’s Degree in Law from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, and a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
