Miloslav Ofúkaný

Miloslav Ofúkaný has a diverse and extensive work experience. Miloslav is the Founder of Geokomunita, a community that focuses on geoinformation. Miloslav is also the Founder and General Editor of Promospravy.sk, a community portal for personal development. Miloslav has also founded and led various organizations, including the Slovak Association for Youth, Science, and Technology (AMAVET) club, and the Slovak company GeoCommunity. Miloslav has worked as the Head of Unit at the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic, specializing in economics and crisis management. Additionally, Miloslav co-founded and sponsored Toastmasters Petržalka, an international education organization that helps individuals develop communication and leadership skills. Miloslav is an active member of several professional associations, such as the Czech Association for Geoinformation, the Slovak Association for Geoinformatics, and the Society for Open Source Information Technologies. Miloslav has also worked as a teacher at a high school, where they taught subjects like Mathematics, Information Technology, and Economics.

Miloslav Ofúkaný started their education at Gymnázium Považská Bystrica from 1989 to 1993, where they completed a School living examination in Math and Informatics. Miloslav then attended Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave from 1993 to 1998, where they pursued a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and Geography. Later, from 2011 to 2014, they studied at VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, specializing in Geodesy and Cartography - Geoinformatics. In addition to their formal education, Miloslav obtained certifications in German and Polish fluency from Duolingo in June 2016.
