Mitja Blaganje

Mitja Blaganje currently serves as the Secretary General at the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, a position held since June 2022. Prior to this role, Mitja held the position of Deputy Secretary General at the Ministry of Public Administration from July 2021 to June 2022. Additionally, Mitja was a Legal and General Affairs Expert at the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region from October 2020 to July 2021, and served as Secretary General at the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport from September 2018 to March 2020. Previous roles include Secretary General at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Ljubljana, and Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, Office of Youth. At the beginning of Mitja's career, a position as a Researcher was held at the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia from April 2006 to October 2008. Mitja Blaganje holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Administrative Law from the University of Ljubljana.
