Marten Mickos

Marten Mickos is a seasoned technology executive and entrepreneur with extensive experience in leading companies and advising startups in the tech industry. Currently serving as CEO of HackerOne since November 2015 and Honorary Consul of Finland in San Francisco since May 2019, Marten also held positions on the Global Advisory Board of Verizon Media from May 2019 to May 2021, and as Senior Vice President at Hewlett-Packard from September 2014 to October 2015. Previous leadership roles include CEO of Eucalyptus Systems, which developed open-source software for cloud compatibility acquired by HP, CEO of MySQL AB, and SVP at Sun Microsystems. Marten's experience is complemented by their engagements as Entrepreneur-in-Residence with index Ventures and Benchmark Capital, and board membership at Nokia. Marten holds a Master of Science degree from Aalto University and has a strong background in technical physics from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
