Katrina O'Connor

Katrina O'Connor is a seasoned professional in service design and sustainability, currently serving as a Senior Service Designer for Food Regulations at the Ministry for Primary Industries since January 2023. Prior to this role, Katrina worked at Zespri International as a Technical Specialist for Sustainability Standards and held the position of Quality Systems Coordinator at Horticulture New Zealand. With a strong foundation in quality auditing as a Lead Assessor for the National Association Testing Authorities in Australia, Katrina has extensive experience in managing quality systems across medical imaging departments. Additionally, Katrina contributed as an Independent Consultant for Conservation International and as a Sustainable Events Coordinator for the Tauranga Environment Centre, demonstrating a commitment to environmental stewardship. Educationally, Katrina holds a Master’s and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Natural Resource Management, along with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, all obtained from Massey University.
