Tracey Mauchlen

Tracey Mauchlen is an accomplished leader in digital and data management with extensive experience at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) since July 2021, currently serving as the Acting Manager of Digital and Data, overseeing the Biosecurity NZ Digital Strategy. Previous roles include Team Manager for Joint Border Analytics, where Tracey led data scientists and business analysts in developing high-value analytics for border operations, and Senior Adviser for Data and Information, providing critical insights and management advice to support decision-making. Prior to MPI, Tracey worked at Wellington City Council from May 2002 to July 2021 in various capacities, including Parks, Sport and Recreation Asset Management Coordinator, managing spatial analysts and data management teams, and acting in the Asset and Projects Manager role. Tracey holds a Certificate in Management Studies from Victoria University of Wellington.
