Marilyn Stephanie Namukasa is an experienced professional currently serving as an Associate in Program Safety at Smile Train since May 2024. In addition, Marilyn holds the position of Assistant Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the National Oil Palm Project funded by IFAD at the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries since September 2019. Previous roles include various positions at dfcu Bank, where Marilyn worked from January 2017 to August 2019, encompassing responsibilities as a Data Records and Archives Officer, Banking Officer - Teller, and E-banking Executive. Marilyn also gained experience as a Business Developer at Fireworks Advertising (U) Limited from June 2016 to January 2017, along with internships at Human Rights Network Uganda and Cairo Bank Uganda. Academically, Marilyn holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from Uganda Management Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Makerere University.

Vision A competitive, profitable and sustainable agricultural sector. Mission To transform subsistence farming to commercial agriculture. Strategic Objectives 1. To initiate the formulation and review of the policy and legal framework for the sector; 2. To establish and implement systems for service provision in the sector; 3. To strengthen and implement strategies, regulatory framework, standards, institutional structures and infrastructure for quality assurance and increased quantities of agricultural products to access and sustain local, regional and export markets; 4. To design and implement sustainable capacity building programmes for stakeholders in the agricultural sector through training, re-tooling, infrastructure, provision of logistics and ICT; 5. To develop strategies for sustainable food security; 6. To develop appropriate agricultural technologies for improved agricultural production, productivity and value addition through research; 7. To develop effective collaborative mechanisms with affiliated institutions; and 8. To take lead and establish a system and institutional framework for agricultural data collection, analyses, storage and dissemination to stakeholders including Uganda Bureau of Statistics.
