Pavlina Adam has a diverse and extensive work experience in various research and management roles. Pavlina started their career as a Scientific Researcher at Mendel University in Brno in 2005, where they made significant contributions to the field of neurodegenerative diseases. Pavlina has published 22 papers and received multiple awards for their work. Pavlina also served as the Manager of International Cooperation at Contipro, where they successfully secured funding for biotechnology projects focused on stem cell-based biomaterials. Pavlina then took on the role of Project Manager for EU Structural Projects at CEITEC, where they coordinated national budgetary projects in the field of bionanotechnology and facilitated technology transfers. Currently, Pavlina is the Director of Research, Development, and Education at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic.

During their time as a student, Pavlina also spent a year from 2007 to 2008 at Università degli Studi di Udine, studying Food Chemistry and Technology.

Following this, from 2010 to 2013, Pavlina pursued a Doktor filozofie (PhD.) degree in Chemistry at Mendel University in Brno.

In 2013, Pavlina briefly attended Università degli Studi di Firenze to focus on Electrochemistry, although the degree attained during this period is unspecified.
