Bonnie Sarkar currently serves as an Immigration Officer at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment since March 2024. Prior to this role, Bonnie worked at the Christchurch City Council as a Youth Services Librarian and Library Assistant from October 2018 to March 2024. Bonnie's earlier experience includes serving as an Attorney at Colorado Legal Services from September 2009 to November 2017, and as a Tutor at the Community College of Denver from August 2009 to 2011. Additionally, Bonnie gained experience as a Summer Intern at the U.S. Forest Service in 2003 and worked as a Technical Writer for Cessna Aircraft Company from 2001 to 2003. Bonnie holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Colorado, obtained from 2004 to 2007, and a Bachelor of Arts in French/English from Middlebury College, earned from 1995 to 1999, with additional education at The University of Texas at Austin from 1999 to 2001.
