Hanna Habibi

Hanna Habibi is a seasoned professional in the field of economics, currently serving as a Senior Research and Data Analyst at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment since May 2022, specializing in the Chief Economics Unit. Prior to this role, Hanna held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow and was a PhD student at Victoria University of Wellington from March 2017 to May 2022, funded by a Chair of Economics of Disasters Scholarship. Additionally, expertise in economic and fiscal forecasts was gained during an internship at The Treasury - New Zealand, where research was conducted on disaster impacts. Earlier professional experience includes roles as Department Manager and Business English Teacher at Tehran Institute of Technology. Hanna holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Economics from Victoria University of Wellington and a Master of Science in International Economics from Universiti Putra Malaysia.
