Neal Hartley

Neal Hartley is an experienced professional currently serving as the Head of Data Operations at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment since November 2020. Previous roles at the same ministry included Manager of Data Analytics and Practice Lead for Reporting and Analytics. Neal has also contributed as a web developer and IT consultant for various companies, and as a lead developer and co-founder of PathStarters, where involvement in the R9 accelerator project took place. Additional experience includes working with VSA Volunteer for sustainable communities, supporting FORCERT in enhancing their online presence, and developing websites for several businesses. Neal holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies and Political Science from Victoria University of Wellington.
