Scott Russell

Scott Russell currently serves as Acting Manager and Team Leader for Energy Use Policy at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, focusing on policy related to industrial energy users, decarbonisation, and energy efficiency. Previously, Scott held roles as Ministerial Advisor in the Office of Hon Dr Megan Woods and Private Secretary to the Minister of Finance, Hon Grant Robertson, while also being a Treasury secondee. Scott's experience includes a Senior Analyst position at The Treasury, where responsibilities spanned climate change, energy, and economic development policies. Earlier roles include Policy Analyst at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment and guest lecturer at The University of Auckland, where Scott also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Scott Russell earned a Master of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Auckland.
