Simon Wakeman

Simon Wakeman is a highly experienced policy advisor with a strong background in research, science, and innovation. Currently serving as Principal Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment since January 2018, Simon has led significant policy initiatives such as the R&D Loan Scheme and the R&D Tax Incentive Transition Support Payment. Previous roles include Principal Advisor positions at the Social Investment Agency and Social Investment Unit, where Simon advised on government social investment approaches and evaluated the impact of R&D grants.
