Chief Data Officer (delegate) at Ministère de la Culture

Aurélien Conraux has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Aurélien is currently serving as the Chief Data Officer (delegate) at the Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication since 2021. Before that, they worked as the Head of Digital Preservation, Standards, and Authorities at the French Intergovernmental Archives Office from 2019 to 2021. Aurélien also held the role of Responsable Records Management - Information Management Office at L'Oréal Research & Innovation from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they were the Chef de la mission pour la gestion de la Production documentaire et des archives at the Bibliothèque nationale de France from 2009 to 2016. Aurélien started their professional journey as a Records Manager - Archivist at the Ministère de la Défense from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, they worked as a Conseiller archives at the Organisation mondiale du tourisme (OMT/UNWTO) from 2004 to 2007. Aurélien also had a teaching assistant role at Harvard University from 2002 to 2003.

Aurélien Conraux attended the Centre de formation au management du Ministère de la Défense in 2007, pursuing studies in Management. From 2005 to 2006, they attended the Institut national du patrimoine, focusing on RM and Archives. In 2001, they had a visiting graduate experience at Cornell University, studying International Relations and Politics. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2001, they attended the École nationale des chartes, earning a PhD in History. Aurélien'seducation also includes their time at Lycée Henri IV from 1995 to 1998, where they pursued a Classe préparatoire à l'École nationale des chartes, obtaining a CGPE degree.
