Jakub Drbohlav has a diverse range of work experience. From 2020, they served as the Vice Director at the Department for Management of Education system at the Ministry of Education in Prague, Czech Republic. Starting in 2016, they worked as a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, where they handled over 10 assignments for industry leaders across Europe, specializing in strategic growth projects in the fields of Telco, Insurance, and the Public sector. Additionally, they developed a renewable energy support system for a CEE country and a new PhD system for a CEE government. Prior to that, in 2016, they were a member of the Research Group at Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, contributing to a project on study drop-out research. From 2015 to 2016, they served as a Ministerský rada (Ministers' Council) at the Ministerstvo školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy (MŠMT), where they were involved in strategic decision-making, legislation work, and data analysis and interpretation related to Czech higher education.

Jakub Drbohlav obtained a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Charles University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Jakub then further pursued their education and completed a Master's degree in Philosophy from Charles University between 2013 and 2016. Additionally, in 2014, Jakub spent a brief period studying Philosophy at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.
