Bander al Ghamdi

Bander Al Ghamdi, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the energy and petroleum industry. Bander currently holds the position of General Director of the Vision Realization Office for the Energy Ecosystem at the Ministry of Energy since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Aramco, where they held various roles including Head of Upstream Innovation Center, Division Head of Reservoir Simulation, Head of Event Solutions Center, and more. Bander was also actively involved in professional organizations such as the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) in both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Section and International branches. Additionally, they pursued their PhD at Pennsylvania State University-Great Valley Graduate Center and completed their Master's degree at the same institution.

Bander Al Ghamdi, Ph.D., received their Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Technological University in 2003. Bander then pursued their Master of Science degree in Energy and Mineral Engineering at Penn State University from 2008 to 2009. Later, Bander Al Ghamdi completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Energy and Mineral Engineering from Penn State University in 2016. Bander also obtained a certificate from the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) in an unspecified year.
