General Director Of Borders, Lands Reservation And Geospatial Affairs at Ministry of Energy

Basim Alharbi, MSc, ARWP, currently serves as the General Director of Borders, Lands Reservation and Geospatial Affairs at the Ministry of Energy since June 2023, in addition to being a Board Member at the Saudi Geological Survey from January 2024. Prior roles include Executive Director of Real Estates Registry at the Real Estate General Authority from December 2022 to June 2023, and Lands and Geospatial Consultant at the Ministry of Energy from March 2022 to December 2022. Basim held various supervisory positions at Aramco from 2013 to April 2021, focusing on land disputes, planning and performance, compliance, and regional land reservations. Earlier experience includes Senior Director of Land Affairs at Diriyah Gate Development Authority and Urban Planning and Design Engineer at أمانة منطقة الرياض from 2008 to 2011, as well as Urban Planning Specialist at AL RAJHI GROUP-REAL ESTATE INVESTMENTS. Basim holds a Master's degree in GIS from the University of Redlands and a Bachelor's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning - Urban Design from King Saud University.
