Reem Alsadoun

Reem Alsadoun is a seasoned petroleum engineer with extensive experience in reservoir engineering and strategy development. Currently serving as a Senior Strategy Specialist in the Vision Realization Office at the Ministry of Energy since June 2024, Reem previously held multiple engineering roles at Aramco from August 2018 to May 2024, including positions as Reservoir Engineer and Reservoir Simulation Engineer within the Unconventional Reservoir Engineering and Reservoir Description and Simulation Departments. Additionally, Reem contributed to the Society of Petroleum Engineers as Editor-in-Chief of SandRose Magazine and as an Executive Board Member from July 2021 to June 2023, and engaged with the Society of Women Engineers as a Global Affiliate from March 2021 to July 2022. Reem’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Petroleum Engineering from UNSW, where coursework involved mentoring students on oil field simulation projects. Early career experience included an internship at Aramco focused on reservoir performance simulation and optimization.
