Pavlina Karasiotou

Pavlina Karasiotou is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in the public sector, currently serving as Secretary General for Fiscal Policy at the Ministry of Finance, Hellenic Republic since July 2023. Prior to this role, Pavlina held the position of Secretary General for Social Security at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs from July 2019 to July 2023 and led the Steering Committee at the Hellenic Auxiliary Pensions Defined Contributions Fund (TEKA) from October 2021 to December 2022. Additional experience includes serving as Head of Office in the Ministry of Finance and as an Advisor to the Secretary General, focusing on state aid and restructuring. Pavlina's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Economics from Universite Catholique de Louvain and multiple advanced degrees in Economics.
