Sofianopoulos Sotiris

Sotiris Sofianopoulos has extensive experience in finance and public administration, currently serving as an Executive in the Financial Policy Department at the Ministry of Finance in the Hellenic Republic since August 2014. In this role, Sotiris specializes in capital controls and manages bank requests for state support related to liquidity, while also serving as a communication link between banks and the European Commission's Directorate-General for Competition. Prior experience includes roles as an HR Administrator responsible for customs officers' payroll at the Ministry of Finance, a public servant trainee at the National School of Public Administration, and a team member in the exports department at the National Bank of Greece. Sotiris also worked as a District Manager at LIDL HELLAS, overseeing human resource management for over 100 employees. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Finance from Birkbeck, University of London, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Piraeus.
