Amber Woortman

Amber Woortman currently serves as a Policy Officer for Afghanistan in the Asia and Oceania Department at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, a position held since April 2024. Previously, Amber was a Special Assistant to the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste and contributed to economic affairs and public diplomacy at the Netherlands Consulate in San Francisco. Experience includes roles as a Conference Assistant at IDC Nordic, International Observer for the Timor Leste Presidential Election, and co-founder of the social enterprise Integreat Europe. Amber holds a Master of Science in Political Science from Københavns Universitet and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam.
