Louise van Gend

Louise van Gend is a seasoned professional in international relations and policy, currently serving as a Senior Policy Officer on Women, Peace and Security at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken since August 2015. With prior experience in various roles within the Security Policy Department and as a Second Secretary for Political Affairs at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Morocco, Louise has a strong background in counterterrorism, national security, and education policy. In addition to a career in diplomacy, Louise is a freelance photographer who integrates storytelling into photography, aiming to foster community connections and raise awareness about social issues. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in International Relations and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Utrecht University.
