Mark Sarfo is a senior policy advisor with extensive experience in international finance and development. Currently serving as a Senior Beleidsmedewerker at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, Mark specializes in the EU's role as a geopolitical actor and the financing of the European Investment Bank outside the EU. Formerly, Mark was an Acting Policy Coordinator for FMO (the Dutch development bank) and served on the Board Advisory Group for the European Investment Bank's Global Operations. Previous roles include advising on foreign financial relations at the Ministerie van Financiën, with involvement in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and climate finance initiatives. Mark's early career included positions at the EBRD and ING Bank, and Mark holds a Master's degree in International Political Economy from King's College London and multiple bachelor's degrees in related fields from the University of Groningen.
