Murielle van der Meer serves as a Second Secretary at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Czech Republic since September 2017, focusing on political affairs and security policy. Previously, Murielle held various significant positions, including Policy Officer for International Financial Institutions at the World Bank Group, and served as a Second Secretary in the Democratic Republic of the Congo with a focus on political affairs and human rights. Additional experience includes working as an Economic Affairs Officer and as an intern at the Embassy in Algeria, where public diplomacy, trade promotion, culture, and human rights were key responsibilities. Murielle also represented the Netherlands as the Dutch UN Youth Representative to UNESCO and was an Advisory Member at the Netherlands Commission for UNESCO. Educational qualifications include a Research MA in Art Studies from the University of Amsterdam and a BA in Art History from Utrecht University, complemented by an Erasmus exchange at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.
