Robert Wichink

Robert Wichink is a seasoned communication strategist currently serving as a Strategic Communication Advisor for the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken since August 2022. Previously, Wichink held significant roles in communication and public affairs, including Senior Communication Advisor at Kamer van Koophandel and Coordinator of Communication and Senior Advisor at the Gemeente Amsterdam. An extensive background in local government communication includes experience as a Senior Press Officer for various officials, including the Mayor and several city councilors. Wichink began a career in journalism working as an all-round journalist and editor for various media organizations, including VARA and NPS. Wichink holds a master's degree in Social History from Erasmus University Rotterdam and additional certifications in leadership.
