Thomas Abma

Thomas Abma is a professional diplomat in training at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, where responsibilities include serving as a policy officer for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and previously interning in the Security Policy Division since April 2022. Prior experience includes a lobbying support internship at Amnesty International The Netherlands, where Thomas conducted research and drafted policy recommendations for the Dutch national elections in 2021. Additionally, an internship at INSS Israel involved research for a publication on Cyber Risk Management and support for national cyber security initiatives. Thomas holds a Master of Laws in International Law from Utrecht University, a Master of Arts in Security and Diplomacy from Tel Aviv University, and a Bachelor of Science in Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics from the University of Amsterdam.
