Tjeerd Veenstra

Tjeerd Veenstra has extensive work experience in various roles in the Dutch government. Tjeerd is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer and Director of Information Provision and Digital Innovation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Operations at the Dutch Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM) from April 2015 to February 2022. Tjeerd also held the position of Director of Human Resource Management at the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs from June 2013 to March 2015. Before that, they worked in several roles at the same ministry, including CIO, Deputy/Acting Director of Administration/CIO, Deputy/Acting Director of Information Management and IT, and Manager of the SAP Competence Centre/Head of Information Management. Their tenure at the Ministry of Economic Affairs lasted from September 1999 to November 2011.

Tjeerd Veenstra attended the University of Twente from 1985 to 1991, specializing in Bestuurskunde/Public Administration. However, no specific degree was mentioned.
