Gert Antsu

Special Envoy For Eastern Partnership at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia

Gert Antsu is a seasoned diplomat currently serving as the Special Envoy for Eastern Partnership and Ambassador of Estonia to Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia since August 2008. Gert has also held the position of Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland, as well as Deputy Permanent Representative to the European Union, where responsibilities included representing Estonia in key EU decision-making processes. From August 2019 to July 2021, Gert directed the Estonian Centre of Eastern Partnership, overseeing foreign assistance projects in several countries. Prior experience includes serving as the Director for European Affairs at the Government Office of Estonia. Gert holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Tartu and has further education from the College of Europe and Aarhus University.
