Marika Linntam

Marika Linntam currently serves as the Ambassador of Estonia to Germany at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, a position held since August 2023. Linntam has been a civil servant and diplomat with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia since May 2001, previously holding roles such as Director General of the Department for European Affairs from August 2018 to September 2023, Counsellor (Antici) in the Estonian Permanent Representation to the EU, and Head of the EU Law Division from August 2010 to August 2018. Linntam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law from the University of Tartu (1997-2001) and a Master's degree in European Law from Université de Rennes I (2002-2003).
