Priit Kallakas

Priit Kallakas is an experienced diplomat and political officer currently serving as the Head of the Business Diplomacy Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia since April 2022. Kallakas previously held the role of political officer and congressional liaison at the Embassy of Estonia in Washington D.C. from August 2018 to April 2022. Additionally, Kallakas contributed to Election Watch Estonia as a board member and worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in various capacities, including US/Canada Desk Officer and Counselor to the Minister. Kallakas also led the Academy of Liberalism as Director and served as the International Officer for the Estonian Reform Party. Early career experience includes a position as a Business Support Officer at Yarra City Council and Development Manager at the Estonian Reform Party. Kallakas holds a Master of Arts in Comparative Politics and a Bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics from the University of Tartu.
