Narek Mkrtchyan

Narek Mkrtchyan currently serves as the Ambassador for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia since August 2025. Prior to this role, Narek Mkrtchyan held positions as the In Charge of Foreign Affairs for the ruling "Civil Contract" Party from February 2023 to August 2025, and as Minister of Labour and Social Affairs from April 2021 to August 2025. Additionally, Narek Mkrtchyan was a Member of Parliament from December 2018 to April 2021 and has been a lecturer at the American University of Armenia since 2015. Educational qualifications include a Master of Political Science and International Affairs from the American University of Armenia, a Master’s degree in World History, and a PhD in World History from Yerevan State University.
