Sohail Ahmad

Sohail Ahmad is an experienced microbiologist with a focus on quality control and assurance in food and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as a Senior Laboratory Technologist 1 at the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar since September 2023, Sohail previously worked as a Food Microbiologist at the Central Food Lab MOPH Qatar for a brief period in late 2022, engaging in biological testing, microbial analysis, and biochemical testing of food products. Sohail's extensive background includes roles as a Quality Control Microbiologist at ARIES Pharmaceuticals from July 2019 to September 2022, and as a Quality Control Microbiologist and Quality Assurance Inspector at Euro Food Pvt Ltd in Pakistan from January 2017 to June 2019, where responsibilities encompassed quality assurance inspections and maintaining hygiene standards. Earlier experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at NIFA Pakistan, investigating the effects of irradiation and autoclaving on microbial eradication in food. Sohail holds an MPhil in Microbiology and a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Microbiology from Hazara University.
