Zaid Alyami

Zaid Alyami, PhD, PMP, P.Eng, P.E., C-KPIP, currently serves as the Advisor to the Deputy Minister and General Manager of Roads Asset Management at the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services since August 2021, focusing on leading roads PPP projects, performance-based contracts, and oversight of operations and maintenance. Previously held positions include Director of Asset Management at EY, Program Director at Jasara, and Project Manager at Jacobs, with a strong emphasis on excellence, continuous improvement, and asset management. Zaid began a career in academia as a Research Engineer/PhD at the University of Waterloo, where expertise in asset valuation, life cycle costing, and performance measures was developed. Educational credentials include a PhD in Civil Engineering, a Master of Applied Science, and a Bachelor of Applied Science with honours, all from the University of Waterloo.
