Kei Takahashi

Kei Takahashi has extensive work experience in software engineering. Kei began their career as a Software Engineer at Minitab in 2000, where they worked on statistical computation, graphic generation, 3D rendering, and internationalization of Minitab Statistics Software. During this time, they utilized various programming languages and tools such as c/c++, Fortran, Win32, MFC, STL, OOP, Hoops, and Visual Studio.

In 2003, Kei was promoted to the role of Senior Software Engineer at Minitab, where they played a key role in developing the architecture and various components for a new Windows application. Kei successfully released the product and implemented the user interface using an embedded browser.

In 2010, Kei continued their senior software engineering role at Minitab, working on a cloud-based solution that encompassed both a Windows desktop rich client and a web client. Kei was responsible for developing the application's core logic on the cloud and converting a file-system based legacy desktop application into a client application for the cloud-based solution.

Prior to their work at Minitab, Kei Takahashi was a Graduate Student at Penn State University from 1996 to 1999. Their research focused on molecular evolutionary biology, and they applied Monte-Carlo simulation to evaluate the accuracy and efficiency of various methods for reconstructing phylogenetic relationships from molecular sequences such as DNA. Kei used programming languages such as c, c++, and Java for computation and front-end UI development.
